About Trust Tune
A bit about myself: I am an electrical and mechanical engineer who completed my apprenticeship with British Rail. Additionally, I gained valuable experience working part-time at a garage. Subsequently, I joined the AA as a patrol in the seventies, where my knowledge of cars expanded significantly. This diverse background led me to establish a mobile engine tuning service, initially focusing on what are now termed modern classic cars. Over time, I adapted to the evolving automotive landscape, delving into the complexities of electronic systems.

Regarding the services I offer, I utilize a Crypton tuner seamlessly integrated with the engine’s electrical system. This enables precise adjustments to crucial engine parameters such as dwell, timing, and mixture. Additionally, I conduct comprehensive testing of essential components including the starter, battery, coil, plugs, and overall engine performance.

- Location: Please provide the postcode of the vehicle’s current location.
- Vehicle Information: Specify the make, model, and engine size of your vehicle.
- Modifications: Inform me of any engine modifications or whether the vehicle is in its standard configuration.
- Existing Issues: Describe any prevailing problems or issues with the vehicle.
- Additional Services: If you require installation of parts such as points, plugs, or adjustment of tappets, please indicate so. Note that for vehicles with non-adjustable tappets or complex tasks such as rocker box gasket replacement, additional time may be required.
- Service Request: Clarify the nature of the service required, whether it’s a routine tune-up or addressing a non-starting issue.
- Engine Modifications: In case of significant engine modifications such as head and valve modifications or installation of a race camshaft, it may be necessary to perform further tuning on a rolling road setup.
